Cover Supervisor – Woking, Surrey

Location: Woking, Surrey
Pay: £115-£120 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Start Date: September 2026

A welcoming SEND school in Woking, Surrey is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting pupils academically and personally.

The Role

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning.
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and support pupils in completing classroom activities.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policies.
  • Provide support and guidance to students across a range of subjects.
  • Encourage positive attitudes towards learning and help pupils stay focused.
  • Support students with their academic progress and confidence.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Assist with wider school activities, routines, and duties where required.

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Confident managing a classroom environment.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Patient, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with students.
  • Able to motivate and engage pupils in their learning.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Passionate about supporting young people’s education and development.
