Teamforce Labour is actively seeking an experienced Lift Supervisor for an immediate start in Overton, York (YO30).

This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading Civil Engineering contractors on a major infrastructure project.

We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious individual with proven experience supervising lifting operations within a busy civil engineering or construction environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Blue CPCS A62 Crane/Lifting Operations Supervisor card or NPORS Lift Supervisor – essential
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Lift Supervisor role
  • Strong knowledge of lifting plans, safe systems of work and lifting regulations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • An up-to-date CV
  • Two recent work references
  • Safety Critical Medical preferred but not essential
  • Full PPE

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating lifting operations on site
  • Ensuring all lifting activities are carried out safely and in accordance with the approved lifting plan
  • Liaising with crane operators, slinger/signallers, appointed persons and site management
  • Conducting pre-lift briefings and ensuring all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities
  • Monitoring lifting operations and ensuring compliance with site health and safety procedures
  • Identifying and reporting unsafe conditions or practices
  • Ensuring lifting accessories and equipment are suitable for the planned operation
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity throughout the works
