Network Engineer

The Network Engineer will be a highly motivated and proactive individual who takes ownership of our EV Charging Point Management System (CPMS) and wider EV fleet infrastructure. This is a key role within a rapidly growing organisation, providing an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting business continuity during a period of maternity leave.

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, uptime, and efficiency of our EV charging network, acting as a technical lead between internal teams, clients, OEM partners, and engineering colleagues. While occasional support for reactive call-outs may be required, the primary focus of the role is to resolve issues remotely through effective system management, automation, and fault diagnosis.

This fixed-term opportunity is ideal for an experienced Network Engineer who enjoys working autonomously, solving complex technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Job requirements

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in a Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar technical role.
  • Proven ability to manage and support cloud-based or IoT-connected platforms.
  • Strong track record of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues remotely.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs or system integrations.
  • Confident working with networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching.
  • Experience working in operational or service-critical environments with uptime responsibility.
  • Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline – or equivalent practical experience.
  • ITIL Foundation or service management awareness is beneficial.
  • Experience collaborating with field engineering teams and external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Flexibility in working hours and approach, an attitude to see a task through

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
