At Verda, we're building a fully featured European AI cloud, covering everything needed to train, experiment with, and deploy AI models at scale.

We are a full-stack AI infrastructure company, meaning we design, operate, and optimize the compute powering modern AI workloads across training and inference. Our infrastructure runs on 100% renewable energy, helping build a more sustainable AI ecosystem.

Join Verda while it’s still being built - not once it’s finished.

About The Role

CPU selection touches everything Verda builds (infra, platform, cloud, storage), and right now no one owns it full-time. As we scale our compute, we need someone on top of what CPUs exist, what's coming to market, and which parts fit which workloads, both for our internal teams and for what we offer customers.

We are looking for a CPU Solutions Specialist to be that person. This is an advisory and information-gathering role at its core: you'll gather and consolidate CPU requirements across our internal engineering teams, translate them into clear specifications, and feed those into our vendor discussions. You'll be the recognized internal authority on "what CPU, and why" (across AMD, ARM, and Intel) and you'll hold credible technical conversations with everyone from engineers to vendors to non-technical stakeholders. This is a fast-paced team with a lot of informal brainstorming, and the role is as wide as you make it. You'll work most closely with our Hardware Solutions Architect on vendor strategy and hardware selection.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You’ll Do

  • Track the CPU landscape: what exists, what's coming to market over the next 12 to 18 months, and what's worth Verda's attention and why.
  • Gather and consolidate CPU requirements across internal teams (infra, platform, cloud, storage), understanding each team's workloads and constraints.
  • Translate internal needs into clear CPU specifications and constraints that feed into vendor discussions.
  • Hold credible CPU conversations across audiences: engineers, vendors, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Independently handle technical discussions with CPU manufacturers, or support your manager in them.
  • Document the reasoning behind recommendations so the process is repeatable and others can build on it.

What We’re Looking For

  • Deep knowledge of CPUs from hands-on work experience. AMD is essential; ARM and Intel are a strong plus.
  • A solid understanding of CPU compute nuances and the role CPUs play in the wider system.
  • Experience gathering requirements and managing stakeholders.
  • The ability to document the reasoning behind technical decisions clearly.
  • Relevant work experience in a related hardware, infrastructure, or compute environment.
  • The ability to lead CPU vendor conversations independently from a technical perspective.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
  • A valid EU work permit.
