You’ll support your team, ensure care is delivered safely and to a consistently high standard, and help the service continue to grow. As the Registered Manager, you’ll have overall responsibility for ensuring the service remains compliant, well-led and focused on delivering safe, effective and person-centred care.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions will directly shape the culture of the service and the support people receive in their own homes.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the Barnsley service and take responsibility for meeting all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Lead and support a team of care staff, coordinators and supervisors
  • Ensure care is delivered safely and consistently in line with CQC regulations and fundamental standards
  • Maintain oversight of quality, compliance and governance across the service
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of care staff
  • Ensure care plans are person-centred, regularly reviewed and accurately reflect each client's needs and preferences
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families, local authorities, commissioners and health and social care professionals
  • Monitor service performance, including quality, staffing levels and care hours
  • Manage incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns appropriately, ensuring required actions and notifications are completed
  • Lead and support audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement across the service
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained and the service is prepared for CQC inspections
  • Identify opportunities to grow the service and support more people within the local community
  • Take part in the on-call rota, shared across the team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
