Role Description

The CQC Registered Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and quality of care within Croft House Care Home. This full-time, on-site role based in Keighley includes overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff.

  • Managing staffing levels and rota planning
  • Supervising and supporting the care team
  • Coordinating training to maintain high professional standards
  • Monitoring care plans
  • Conducting audits

  • Addressing any concerns raised by residents, families, or external stakeholders

The CQC Registered Manager will work closely with healthcare professionals and regulators, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and report regularly to the provider on performance and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing a residential care home or similar health and social care setting, ideally as a CQC Registered Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including staff supervision, performance management, and team development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and scheduling effectively while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Competence in care planning, record-keeping, and using care management systems or digital tools.
  • Relevant health and social care qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent) or commitment to working toward it.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and understanding of best practices in person-centered care.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo enhanced background checks as required.
