A well-established care provider based in Southampton is looking to appoint a Registered Manager who can bring stability, energy and clear direction to their service. This is a home with a good foundation already in place, and the right person will have real scope to shape its next chapter, whether that's refining processes, developing the team, or pushing standards from Good towards Outstanding.

What the Role Involves

  • Holding full responsibility for CQC registration and compliance across the service.
  • Leading, motivating and developing a team of care staff, including recruitment and ongoing training.
  • Making sure every care plan is person-centred and regularly reviewed, not left to gather dust.
  • Building strong working relationships with residents, families, commissioners and external professionals.
  • Overseeing budgets, rotas and day-to-day operational management.
  • Carrying out regular audits and quality checks, with clear reporting to senior management.
  • Championing a culture of openness around safeguarding, where staff feel able to speak up.
  • Taking part in an on-call rota alongside other members of the management team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
