Job Description:
Location: Grimsby (Head Office) | UK Wide Travel | Full-Time | Industry: Crane Hire & Construction
Adco Crane Hire Ltd, based in Grimsby, is seeking a skilled, reliable, and safety-focused Crane Operator to join our growing team. This role is central to our operations, responsible for carrying out lifting duties safely and efficiently across a variety of sites nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator who takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe Crane Operation
- Operate mobile cranes in accordance with lift plans, site requirements, and all safety regulations.
- Lifting Operations
- Carry out lifting, rigging, and de-rigging duties safely and efficiently.
- Daily Checks & Maintenance
- Complete pre-use inspections and ensure the crane is in safe working condition at all times.
- Team Coordination
- Work closely with slingers/signallers and supervisors to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Time & Record Keeping
- Accurately complete Proof of Hire sheets and record all working hours in line with company procedures.
- Travel & Site Work
- Attend various sites across the UK and adapt to changing job requirements.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company procedures, health & safety regulations, and report any defects or concerns immediately.

Skills & Experience
- Valid CPCS Crane Operator certification
- Proven experience operating mobile cranes
- Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel
