Role Description
This is a full-time Crane Operator role based in Grimsby. The Crane Operator will be responsible for safely operating mobile and static cranes on various sites, following lift plans and adhering to all relevant regulations. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and rigging cranes, conducting pre-use checks, coordinating lifts with site personnel, and ensuring loads are moved safely and efficiently. The role also involves completing inspection records, maintaining equipment in good working order, and communicating clearly with appointed persons, supervisors, and clients about site conditions, risks, and progress.

- Strong experience in lifting operations, including planning and coordinating safe lifts on varied sites.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment and lifting equipment used in crane operations.
- Knowledge of crane inspection procedures and routine checks to ensure safe, compliant operation.
- Practical experience operating different types of cranes in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Relevant certifications or licenses for crane operation (e.g., CPCS or equivalent), with up-to-date safety training.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations, risk assessment, and safe work methods.
- Ability to read lift plans, follow instructions accurately, and communicate effectively with site teams.
- Reliable, safety-focused approach, with willingness to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites as needed.
