Role Description
The Crane Operator role at ATM Group is a full-time, on-site position based in London. The Crane Operator will operate cranes to move, lift, and position structural steel and related materials safely and efficiently on construction and fabrication sites. Daily tasks include:

- Performing pre-use checks
- Monitoring lifting operations
- Following load charts and signaling instructions
- Coordinating closely with site supervisors and lifting teams

The role also involves:
- Adhering to safety regulations
- Reporting equipment issues
- Assisting with basic crane maintenance
- Supporting general site operations as needed
Qualifications
- Proficiency in lifting operations, including planning and executing safe and controlled lifts
- Experience working with heavy equipment and lifting equipment in construction or industrial environments
- Knowledge of cranes and their operational limits, load charts, and safe working practices
- Ability to perform routine inspection of lifting equipment and cranes to identify defects or safety concerns
- Relevant crane operator certification or license compliant with local regulations
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards and regulations on construction sites
- Ability to read and interpret basic site plans, lifting plans, and written instructions
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, signalers, and site teams
- Attention to detail, situational awareness, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in steel installation or fabrication environments is an advantage
