Location: Fordham, Cambridgeshire (CB7 5LE)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours minimum + overtime
Schedule: Monday–Friday (No weekends)

About Us

ALN Carpentry Ltd is a well-established carpentry contractor delivering high-quality work across residential and commercial construction projects throughout East Anglia and the South East. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our lifting and logistics team and are seeking a full-time HGV Class 2 Driver to operate our Böcker AK46 crane vehicle.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys varied site work, values safety and precision, and wants long-term stability within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate the MAN TGM 26.320 with Böcker AK46 crane
  • Deliver roof trusses, timber frames, and construction materials to construction sites
  • Carry out safe, efficient lifting operations
  • Complete daily vehicle and crane safety checks
  • Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and care
  • Work closely with site managers and installation teams
  • Follow all company and site health & safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate logs of crane operation hours, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance purposes

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Category C (Class 2) HGV licence
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous experience driving HGVs
  • Good communication skills
  • Professional and reliable attitude
  • Willingness to work across East Anglia and the South East
  • Knowledge of construction site safety standards and procedures
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and accuracy
