Crane Operator / Plant Operator
📍 Location: Specialist Plant, Airfield Road, Hinwick, Wellingborough, NN29 7JQ
📋 Contract: PAYE or CIS
💼 Hours: Full-Time
💰 Salary: Competitive salary package, with additional benefits available to eligible employees.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator / Plant Operator to join our Specialist Plant team in Wellingborough. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a range of lifting equipment and heavy plant, supporting operations across a busy and dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes and plant equipment, helping to ensure projects and operational activities are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate cranes and a variety of plant machinery safely and efficiently.
- Carry out lifting, loading, unloading, and material handling activities.
- Conduct pre-use inspections and routine equipment checks.
- Ensure all lifting and plant operations are carried out in accordance with site procedures and industry regulations.
- Work closely with supervisors, banksmen, engineers, and operational teams.
- Report defects, faults, and maintenance requirements promptly.
- Complete daily records and operational documentation as required.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.

Requirements
- Previous experience operating cranes, heavy plant, or lifting equipment.
- Valid CPCS or NPORS qualification(s) relevant to the equipment operated.
- Good understanding of lifting operations and site safety requirements.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Strong commitment to safe working practices.
- Full UK driving licence is advantageous.
