Role Description
Be seen as the lifting operations and lifting equipment technical authority, or SME, for the LPP Campus, responsible for providing advice, oversight and guidance for all crane lifting operations across the project.
You can be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to Finland (11/3 day rotations).
Role Accountabilities
- Actively promote safe lifting operations, always referring to the relevant EHS technical standards, Exhibit U and all other international standards such as, but not limited to, LOLER 1998, the BSI 7121 – 2016 suite of Crane Safety standards, ASME B30, etc.
- Ensure that the engineering calculations for critical lifts (exceeding 75% of the rated capacity of the crane or requires the use of more than one crane) are prepared to the highest standard. See also CON-EHS-TSS-010.00 Crane & Rigging usage.
- Reviews all lifting plans and is present during and throughout all critical lifting operations.
- Provides oversight of all Tower Crane erection, dismantling and Tower Crane operations.
- Prepares all crane and lifting inspections and audits.
- Provides on-site advice to Contractor personnel involved in lifting operations.
- Provide training and guidance in safe lifting operations to the relevant Managers, Engineers and Inspectors who may require it.

Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant HNC, HND, or Degree either in Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineer or similar relevant subject.
- Appointed Person Crane & Lifting Management.
- CPCS Appointed Persons: Lifting Operations A61.
- LEEA Accredited Courses (Various).
- Demonstrable experience in crane operations and Crane Safety AP (or similar role) gained in a wide variety of construction, engineering, power, pharma, or petro-chem environments.
