Position: Software Engineer, Full Stack

The Role
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack) to provide technical leadership across a TRG Screen product team. This is a hands-on role combining deep engineering expertise with ownership of technical direction, architecture, and delivery — working within a .NET-based full-stack environment that blends new feature development with improving and modernising complex, established systems. TRG Screen is an AI-driven engineering organization, and this role is expected to champion that culture — setting the standard for how the team builds with AI and leading by example.

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead technical vision and architecture across the team — own decisions on technology stack, design patterns, and system design.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development processes.
- Champion and role-model AI-assisted development across the team — driving adoption of AI tooling, spec-driven workflows, and responsible use of code-generation practices.
Development & Delivery
- Design, develop, and own complex full-stack initiatives, setting the standard for code quality and craftsmanship.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to clean code principles and design patterns.
- Champion automated testing practices and ensure system reliability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and optimisation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve the most challenging technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and provide technical oversight for engineers, supporting their growth through guidance, code reviews, and unblocking.
- Build team capability through pairing, training, and documentation standards.
- Partner with Product Management to translate requirements into realistic technical solutions and timelines.
- Communicate technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders; contribute to sprint planning and continuous improvement.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with strong expertise in C# and .NET Core.
- 3+ years in a technical leadership or senior engineer role, with a track record of mentoring engineers and owning technical direction.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or similar) for building data-driven UIs.
- Deep understanding of software design principles with proven ability to make and document architectural decisions in large, complex codebases.
- Strong database skills with relational databases (SQL Server or PostgreSQL preferred).
- Proven track record of implementing comprehensive testing strategies and owning system reliability, performance, and security.
- Excellent communication skills and strategic thinking — able to influence technical decisions, work effectively with Product, and balance technical debt against delivery.

Preferred
- Experience with desktop agent or endpoint monitoring software.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) as part of day-to-day engineering practice — this is how we build at TRG Screen.
- Familiarity with spec-driven development — using structured specifications to guide AI coding agents, preserve architectural intent, and validate generated output (e.g. BMAD, GitHub Spec-Kit).
