Building Bridges Training CIC Volunteer Filmmaking Opportunity
Building Bridges Training CIC is looking for a creative and confident volunteer to help us make a short 2 to 3 minute film for our online and face-to-face training.
What difference will you make?
Our members help us create training and resources that help professionals understand learning disability and autism better. A real-life film will bring our training to life and help people see the person, not just the label. It will also give our members a chance to share their experiences and achievements in their own community.

What are we looking for?
Skills and equipment to film and edit.
- At least 3 years expertise in film production
- Ability to work and communicate with someone with a mild learning disability
What will you be doing?
We want to show the real person behind the learning disability and autism – their strengths, achievements, interests and some of the challenges they face.
We'd like to film them out and about in their local community in Sandwell – doing things they enjoy, such as Parkrun, meeting friends and taking part in everyday activities.

This is a chance to use your filmmaking skills to help challenge stereotypes and show what people with learning disabilities can achieve. We're looking for someone who can
- 🎬 Film natural, engaging footage
- ✂️ Edit it into a great 2 - 3 minute film
- 💬 Work sensitively with a person with a learning disability and autism
- 📍 Be local to Sandwell and able to travel to filming locations
Have 3 years experience of film editing and production.
