Help FarmEco become an excellent employer.
We recently hired our first two staff members and need an HR expert to set up foundational systems. You'll also enhance volunteer management to support our mission of connecting people, nature, and farming for improved wellbeing.
What difference will you make?
As a Community Benefit Society, FarmEco relies heavily on the dedication and passion of the people who come here to learn, volunteer, and care for our beautiful landscape. With our recent growth and the hiring of our first paid staff, we are at a new point in our journey.
- Proper HR structures will ensure that our new staff members are supported, motivated, and well-managed, empowering them to focus on delivering our hands-on learning, wellbeing sessions, and conservation work.
- Furthermore, our volunteers are essential to the day-to-day running of the farm—from maintaining our wildlife areas and agroforestry fields to leading community groups like the home education group.
- An enhanced induction and management process means we can welcome more people from the community, retain their support longer, and ensure their time with us is safe, enjoyable, and deeply rewarding.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
