Role Description

The (Volunteer) Creative Associate is a remote volunteer role responsible for developing and executing visual and brand concepts that support Abeyie Innovation UK’s projects and initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Creating graphic assets for digital and print channels
  • Refining brand visuals
  • Ensuring consistent application of branding across presentations, social media, and marketing materials

The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and partners to translate ideas into clear, compelling visual narratives and communicating design choices to non-design audiences. The Creative Associate will also contribute to brainstorming sessions, support campaign ideation, and help maintain an organized library of design assets and templates.

Qualifications

  • Strong visual and design skills, including Graphics and Graphic Design, with the ability to produce high-quality digital and print materials.
  • Branding and Creativity Skills to develop and maintain cohesive brand identities and generate innovative visual concepts.
  • Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present design ideas, and interpret feedback constructively.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent) and familiarity with digital content formats.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant experience in a creative, marketing, or design-focused role; experience within innovation, startups, or tech ecosystems is an advantage.
  • Post-secondary education in design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory with strong portfolio evidence.
