Creative Content Lead
The Creative Content Lead will be the creative engine of Lincoln Cathedral, leading the creation and delivery of compelling visual, digital and multimedia content that brings the Cathedral’s heritage, faith, people and commercial activity to life.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, the role will translate marketing strategy and campaign priorities into high-quality creative content across digital, social, web and print. With a particular focus on video, graphic design, social storytelling and photography, the postholder will create content that attracts new audiences, strengthens engagement and increases the visibility of the Cathedral and its diverse offer.
The role will play a central part in telling the Cathedral’s stories in ways that are accessible, inspiring and relevant to audiences across generations, using creativity to support visitor growth, event attendance, audience development and commercial performance. It will combine creative thinking and professional production skills with the ability to work at pace across a complex organisation, ensuring content is timely, accurate, consistent and aligned with the Cathedral’s values and brand.

Person specification
Essential
- Proven professional experience in creative content, social media and graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Strong graphic design skills, with professional experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Proven ability to create high-quality, video-first social content that is engaging and suited to different platforms and audiences.
- Excellent storytelling and visual communication skills, with the ability to turn complex subjects into compelling, accessible content.
- Ability to develop creative ideas and take them from concept through to production and publication.
- Good understanding of social media, digital content trends and audience engagement.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without compromising quality or attention to detail
- Collaborative and adaptable, with the confidence to work across a complex organisation and respond creatively to changing needs.

Desirable
- Additional skills in professional video production/editing, photography, animation or motion graphics.
- Experience working in a heritage, cultural, tourism, charitable or visitor attraction environment.
- Experience creating content within a faith, historic or similarly values-led organisation.
- Knowledge of website content management, SEO, analytics and digital performance.
- Experience using paid social or digital promotion to extend the reach of creative content.
