About The Role
We are currently seeking an Interim Creative Designer to join our dynamic communications team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented professional with a passion for digital design and visual storytelling. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for producing engaging and high-quality content across multiple platforms, including digital and print media. The position requires managing multiple projects from conception to completion, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring all creative outputs align with organizational branding and accessibility standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your design expertise in a fast-paced environment while supporting key communication initiatives and campaigns.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in a creative design role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in digital and print media. You should have a solid understanding of graphic design principles, visual storytelling techniques, and familiarity with various multimedia tools. Experience working within large, complex organizations or politically sensitive environments is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to interpret briefs accurately, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality creative design content and materials for both online and offline channels, including graphics, infographics, animations, videos, and other multimedia assets.
- Support key communications campaigns and corporate messaging initiatives by creating visually compelling content that enhances storytelling and reinforces organizational priorities.
- Deliver digital-first designs optimized for web, email, and social media platforms to maximize engagement and reach.
- Ensure all creative outputs are consistent with corporate branding guidelines and accessibility standards, acting as a brand guardian.
- Provide expert design advice, consultancy, and support to colleagues and management to enhance overall communication effectiveness.
- Manage multiple design projects efficiently, including preparing briefs, establishing schedules, coordinating workflows, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Collaborate with external vendors such as printers, photographers, illustrators, and copywriters to achieve project objectives.
- Identify and advise on design-related issues that could impact the organization's reputation, supporting proactive reputation management.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in digital design, visual content, and communication technologies to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of outputs.
