Creative Director (Art Direction)
Rate: £55.77 per hour

Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Creative Director with strong art direction expertise to drive the development of innovative, concept-led performance marketing campaigns for international business audiences across multiple digital platforms.
This role requires a highly creative leader who can combine strategic thinking, storytelling, and visual excellence to deliver impactful campaigns that drive engagement and business results. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading creative development end-to-end, working closely with production partners, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders.
A strong understanding of AI and generative AI tools for creative ideation and production is essential, along with evidence of leveraging these technologies to enhance creative output and team productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead creative concepts for ongoing marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand strategy.
- Ideate, develop, and refine innovative campaign concepts from initial brief through to execution.
- Use campaign insights, performance data, and historical trends to inform creative direction and decision-making.
- Leverage AI and GenAI tools throughout creative ideation and production processes.
- Collaborate with production partners, agencies, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality creative work across multiple channels.
- Provide creative leadership and constructive feedback to external agencies and cross-functional teams.
- Lead creative reviews and present strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Define creative inputs for testing frameworks and optimisation plans.
- Build strong relationships across marketing, sales, and creative functions to ensure effective collaboration.
- Design and develop visual concepts including typography, colour palettes, imagery, and brand systems.
- Create and oversee the development of design assets including graphics, illustrations, icons, and digital creative.
- Ensure creative consistency across digital advertising, websites, sales enablement materials, and other marketing assets.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, creative trends, and industry best practices, implementing relevant innovations where appropriate.

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience working as a Creative Director or in a senior creative leadership role within advertising, marketing, or design.
- Bachelor's degree in Digital Design, Visual Design, Advertising Art Direction, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong art direction background combined with excellent storytelling and copywriting instincts.
- Demonstrated experience creating socially native content, with a clear understanding of platform-specific formats and consumer behaviours.
- Proven experience delivering work beyond traditional film and video campaigns, such as experiential activations, digital experiences, and innovative creative builds.
- Strong portfolio showcasing concept-driven campaigns, visual excellence, strategic thinking, and measurable business impact.
- Experience using AI and generative AI tools for creative ideation and production, with examples of how AI has improved workflows and outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience influencing and gaining buy-in from senior decision-makers.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working within fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Preferred Experience
- Strong understanding of the B2B marketing landscape and digital advertising ecosystems.
- Experience collaborating with global teams, agencies, and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English is essential.
