Role: Creative Director
Term: 4 months
Type: Full Time
Location: London - 2/3 days on site
About the role:
We are seeking a highly specialized Freelance Creative Director to spearhead creative vision and strategy for a major B2C account. Unlike traditional overhead roles, this position demands a "unicorn"—a production-led, hands-on creative leader who is just as comfortable leading a room as they are getting into the weeds with designers and motion specialists.
You will drive the creative direction to ensure the delivery of innovative, contemporary, and highly engaging content that resonates with B2C audiences. It is essential that you are a strong practitioner with high-level execution skills, capable of providing direct, technical feedback on production, motion, and design, while expanding the business footprint through strategic leadership.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead creative teams, projects, and pitches while remaining a hands-on practitioner who can guide technical execution in design and motion.
- Develop and execute brand-level strategies through digital media channels, with a deeply specialized focus on social, influencer, AI, and AR.
- Pitch ideas directly to clients and build powerful, enduring relationships using meticulously crafted, high-end presentation decks that elevate the basic briefs.
- Independently manage multiple projects, proactively identifying potential production and conceptual challenges early to provide innovative solutions.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Account, Strategy, Production, Tech, and Project Management teams to ensure cohesive project execution and goal alignment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Contemporary, High-Craft Portfolio (Required): A link to your portfolio must be attached to be considered. Your site must demonstrate a highly contemporary "new-school" aesthetic, modern vibe, and an exceptional eye for design and craft right down to the layout of the portfolio itself. Old-school or purely traditional above-the-line campaign books will not be a fit.
- Deep Social Mastery: A specialized, social-first approach to ideas. Social cannot be an afterthought; you must demonstrate strong execution across social platforms with modern pacing and high visual taste.
- Production & Technical Expertise: A production-heavy background with high-level execution skills. You must possess strong design fundamentals, a deep understanding of motion, and hands-on familiarity with tools like Figma.
- Experience: Extensive experience as a Creative Director or senior creative leader, specializing in B2C digital and social media marketing for leading tech brands. A proactive, 'start-up' mentality is a must.
- AI Integration: Expertise in leveraging AI tools to enhance creative efficiency and output.
- Leadership: Proven line management experience with a focus on collaboration, maintaining an ego-free and people-first leadership style, leading by example through your own strong technical skills.
