Do you have 10+ years' experience leading creative interior design and project delivery? Can you take a design from pitch and concept through technical development, construction and completion? Have you led multidisciplinary teams within a fast-paced commercial design environment?
The role
This is a senior Creative Director opportunity that combines creative leadership, client engagement, and practical project delivery. You'll shape the design vision, lead major pitches and guide projects from initial concept through to construction and completion. The focus is not just on creating exceptional environments, but on ensuring designs remain commercially viable, technically buildable, and deliverable to programme. You'll work closely with clients, Pre Construction, Commercial, Project Management, Technical Design and Construction teams.
What you'll be doing
- Shape the creative direction and design strategy for major projects.
- Lead creative development from initial pitch through design and delivery.
- Provide creative leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Lead client presentations, design reviews and project-winning activity.
- Balance creative ambition with cost, programme, compliance and buildability.
- Work closely with technical designers, consultants, contractors and delivery teams.
- Review drawings, specifications and design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify design risks early and drive practical solutions.
- Support business development with strategic design input.
- Maintain high standards across design quality, sustainability and project delivery.
- Mentor and guide designers while helping develop team capability.

What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or a related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience in creative interior design, design leadership and project delivery.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual design, storytelling, detailing and completed projects.
- Strong client-facing and presentation capability.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of Revit, BIM coordination tools and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of construction, detailing, materials and buildability.
- Knowledge of CDM 2015, Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
- Commercial awareness across cost, programme and project delivery.
- Experience within design & build, fast-track or another multidisciplinary commercial design environment would be highly advantageous.
- Experience with LEED, WELL, BREEAM or other sustainability standards would also be beneficial.

Desired Skills and Experience
10+ years' experience in creative interior design, design leadership and project delivery within commercial interiors, workplace design or a multidisciplinary design environment. Strong experience shaping design concepts, leading client presentations and pitches, managing multidisciplinary teams and taking projects from concept through technical development, construction and completion. Strong understanding of buildability, cost, programme, compliance and project delivery. Working knowledge of Revit, BIM coordination tools and AutoCAD. Knowledge of CDM 2015, Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act. Experience within design & build or fast-track environments is highly advantageous. Experience with LEED, WELL, BREEAM or other sustainability standards would also be beneficial.
