Creative Events Designer

We're looking for a Creative Events Designer to join our growing creative team in Manchester. You'll work closely with the wider creative, production, and brand activation team to develop and deliver standout brand experiences, from the first pitch through to the moment a build goes live.

This is a creative-first role. You'll play a key role in bringing ideas to life, helping shape creative concepts, working alongside production for print assets and build, and ensuring every experience is delivered to the highest standard. We're looking for someone who gets excited by creating work that pushes boundaries, earns attention organically, and translates into memorable real-world experiences and highly shareable social content.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Development

  • Work alongside the creative team to develop and deliver concepts from pitch through to live execution
  • Create pitch decks, mock-ups, creative storyboards, and AI-generated imagery that clearly communicate ideas at presentation stage
  • A strong understanding of the consumer journey through an activation, able to consider the experience from the audience's perspective at every stage, from arrival through to the shareable moment, ensuring the creative concept works as a lived experience, not just a visual one
  • Contribute fresh, bold thinking, ideas that create industry-first experiences and social-first moments
  • Brief and collaborate with 3D designers and CAD drawers to ensure your creative vision is fully realised

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Design & Production

  • Work alongside production and brand activation managers to ensure all creative elements are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard
  • Produce and prep artwork across small and large-format print; signage, environmental graphics, branded structures, vehicle wraps, and print assets
  • Use AI tools (Midjourney and equivalents) as a genuine part of your creative process, for direction-setting, visual exploration, and client-facing concept work
  • Create high-quality environment visuals and mock-ups that communicate how a graphic will feel in a physical space
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously without losing quality or attention to detail

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Collaborate across creative, production, and brand activation teams, communicating clearly and contributing at every stage
  • Present your design thinking with confidence - explain why a decision is right, not just show it
  • Maintain an organised approach to assets, templates, and project files to support the wider team

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • 5+ years' experience in creative or graphic design within events, experiential marketing, or a similar agency environment
  • Proven experience delivering creative projects from concept through to physical execution
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator and Photoshop in particular
  • Strong knowledge of small and large-format print production and file setup for physical output at scale
  • Confident use of AI tools (Midjourney and equivalents) as a genuine part of your design process
  • Ability to create environment visuals and mock-ups that communicate how a design will feel at scale, in three-dimensional space
  • A strong eye for design, styling, and visual storytelling - across both luxury and consumer aesthetics
  • Comfortable balancing creative ambition with budgets, timelines, and production realities
  • Strong communicator, able to collaborate across Creative, Production, and Client Services teams
  • Natural instinct for social-first design — an understanding of what makes an experience shareable
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides for client-facing presentations
