Creative Lead
Westbourne Grove, London | 5 days in office
£60,000 - £75,000 + bonus
About Us
At Simmer, we're on a mission to make healthy eating effortless.
What started with £10 worth of ingredients and a handful of family recipes has grown into one of the UK's fastest-growing businesses, recognised by The Sunday Times 100 as the UK's 5th fastest-growing company in both 2025 and 2026.
We've grown through great products, authentic founder-led storytelling and effective performance marketing. Much of our content has been social-first, fast and intentionally scrappy and that's part of what makes Simmer feel real.
We want to preserve that as we grow, while raising the creative ambition around it.
We don't just want to build a great food company. We want to build a brand people genuinely choose to engage with, talk about and remember.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Creative Lead to own how Simmer's stories come to life.
You'll have influence across almost every expression of the brand from something we shoot on an iPhone this afternoon to social, photography, packaging, retail, brand films and major campaigns.
Some things should stay fast, scrappy and authentic. Others deserve genuinely world-class execution.
Your job is to know the difference and make both brilliant.
We want someone who still loves being close to the craft: coming up with ideas, finding the story, shaping scripts, art directing, directing shoots, challenging briefs and making good ideas much better.
You'll also help build around the work, shaping the creative standards, team and ways of working that allow exceptional creative to happen consistently as Simmer grows.
What You'll Get to Shape
A brand people recognise before they see the logo
You'll help evolve how Simmer looks and feels across photography, film, social, typography, packaging, retail and digital.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
We want to build something distinctive, memorable and unmistakably Simmer.
You'll work closely with our Founder and wider marketing team, bringing your own taste, references and point of view. We have strong opinions, but we're looking for someone who'll bring equally strong ones and make the work better because of it.
Stories people actually care about
Great creative starts with a great idea.
You'll turn customer insight, cultural observations and business opportunities into creative people genuinely want to watch, remember and share.
One week that might mean shaping a founder story. The next, developing a campaign concept. The next, standing on set making sure the idea is as good in real life as it was on paper.
You'll move comfortably from idea → story → creative direction → execution.
Our biggest creative moments
As Simmer grows, so do the opportunities.
You'll play a leading role across ambassador partnerships, product launches, founder campaigns, photography, brand films, and major cultural moments.
And you'll think beyond the hero asset.
If we have one brilliant day of production, how do we turn it into exceptional creative everywhere our customers meet Simmer?
We want someone excited by both the big idea and everything you can build around it.
A creative engine that can scale
Making one brilliant piece of work is one thing.
Building an environment where brilliant work happens repeatedly is another.
You'll help shape the team, creative standards, production, planning and ways of working behind the work.
We're deliberately lean and want to build strong capability internally, bringing in brilliant external specialists where they genuinely make the work better.
The ambition is simple: creative output and creative quality should grow together.

Creative That Helps the Business Win
We care deeply about craft, but not creativity in a vacuum.
You'll work closely with Brand, Growth and our Founder, and stay curious about why someone stopped, watched, remembered, clicked, shared or bought.
Sometimes the right answer will be a beautifully art-directed campaign.
Sometimes it'll be an iPhone and a really good idea.
Great creative judgement is knowing the difference.
You Might Be Right for This If...
- You've spent the last few years getting really good at making creative, but increasingly find yourself thinking about the whole thing.
- Not just the campaign, but the brand it belongs to.
- Not just the shoot, but everything you could create from it.
- Not just your own work, but how you help other talented people produce their best.
- You might currently be a Senior Creative, Senior Art Director, Art Director, Design Lead or Creative Lead.
- You don't need to have had the perfect title or done every part of this job before.
- We're more interested in the quality of your work, your judgement and where you're capable of going next.
Why Simmer?
- You could join an established brand and inherit a creative language that's already been defined.
- Or you could help shape one.
- You'll work closely with our Founder, have meaningful influence over the next evolution of Simmer, help build the Creative function and lead work seen by millions of people.
- There's already a strong foundation here.
- The opportunity is to take everything that's authentic and distinctive about Simmer today and help build what it could become next.
If you've spent the last few years building your craft and feel ready to build something bigger with it, we'd love to meet you.
