Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience in a creative discipline (e.g., writing, design, art direction, or video production).
  • Experience managing creative, social, and production agencies, and managing agency relationships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in using AI tools to enhance creative production and a deep curiosity about how AI will drive innovation and evolution within the creative landscape.
  • Experience leading a team of creatives, developing talent through thoughtful direction and honest feedback, fostering a welcoming environment where every voice is respected.
  • Understanding of different Google brands, brand standards and Google Grade work.
  • Understanding of UK influencer/creator landscape and experienced working on social-native campaigns, working with creators and building culture partnerships.
  • A proven track record of managing ATL and Social campaigns end-to-end, from initial strategy to production and measurement.

About The Job

As a Creative in Marketing, you bring visual, design, written and experiential acumen to Google products and services, presented across all major media, content, channels, and experiences. You have the ability to perform your role in a flexible, ever-changing environment and must be open to new influences and inspiration. You will work with a deeply cross-functional team and inspire a team of vendor partners by sharing ideas and developing effective solutions to generate multiple concepts supporting all forms of major media. You will be equally comfortable making; rolling up your sleeves and designing, mocking, writing, or prototyping; showing, not telling. Above all, you will inspire and lead by example by making the most of every opportunity to develop breakthrough creative, consistent with the Google Marketing brand, and be able to take and provide clear direction and creative feedback that pushes work forward.

As the Creative Lead for UK Consumer Marketing, you will oversee multiple complex and mission-critical projects, setting the creative goal and need in the UK for Google’s master brand and product areas including Search, Gemini and Pixel.

You will work with some of the world’s most innovative creative agencies to deliver work that is seen by millions of customers across the UK. This role will apply a combination of excellent creative judgment, deep understanding of the Google consumer strategy, and about the opportunities for AI.

Responsibilities

  • Set the creative goal and own overall execution for industry-leading culture marketing campaigns across Google UK, from social to events to media, acting as the ultimate judge of quality and taste.
  • Collaborate with UK consumer marketing teams on their brand partnerships strategy and develop creative concepts to activate those partnerships (e.g., custom local creative work for cultural moments.
  • Partner with global and regional teams to adapt positioning and messaging to the UK market.
  • Work with other specialist teams to set up an agile agency model, ensuring that we work with creative professionals in the industry in a way that is scalable and able to adapt quickly to cultural trends.
