đ About The Role
As ZOE continues to scale globally, we are looking for a rapid, collaborative, and culturally attuned Creative Performance Designer (Mid-Weight) to elevate how we approach growth creative.
Joining ZOEâs Creative Studio and reporting directly to the Lead Brand Designer, you will be a primary engine driving our visual presence across paid digital channels. You will step away from traditional, slow-cooked design pipelines to build a high-velocity workflow focused on winning consumer attention on Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and beyond.
This is an execution-first individual contributor role for a true maker. You will work directly alongside the Lead Brand Designer, meaning you arenât afraid to roll up your sleeves, grab our product, capture engaging photography in the wild, or spin up iterative variant matrices at a blistering pace. Crucially, while you understand how to execute intentionally native, low-fidelity creative that stops the scroll, your foundational visual craftâtypography, hierarchy, colour contrast, and layout balanceâis rock-solid.
Whether your background is in Paid Social, CRM, Lifecycle Marketing, E-Commerce Promo, or Brand Design, if you have exceptional visual taste, an intuitive grasp of digital advertising, and the speed to execute autonomously in Figma, youâll thrive here.
To keep you inspired, this role balances day-to-day production with creative freedom: while the bulk of your focus will be building high-volume static ad variations and scalable Figma component systems, you'll also have space to shoot content in the wild (~10%), experiment with video/motion editing, and test fresh, un-ignorable ideas.
đŻ What Youâll Be Doing
- High-Velocity Asset Scale: Build, iterate, and scale high-performing visual assets for multi-channel digital advertising campaigns (mainly Meta, but also TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and programmatic display), matching relentless volume with top-tier graphic design quality.
- Figma-First Modular Systems: Build, manage, and expand intelligent template systems and modular component matrices within Figma to maximise studio output and rapid iteration efficiency.
- Channel-Native Execution: Intentionally dial design presentation up or down based on channel needsâknowing how to craft an asset that feels native, current, and raw without ever looking over-designed, stale, or easy to ignore.
- Data-Driven Collaboration: Partner day-to-day with growth marketers and copywriters to turn real-time asset performance data into fresh visual hooks and creative variants.
- Hands-on Content Capture (~10%): Get hands-on as a physical creator: unbox product kits, capture raw, engaging imagery in the wild, and experiment with quick visual executions to keep our formats feeling current and authentic.
- Localisation & Expansion: Own the asset localization process, formatting successful creative architectures to scale seamlessly into new global markets.
- Motion & Experimentation: Dedicate a portion of your bandwidth to motion graphics testing, video editing, and proactive concept experimentation to expand our visual vocabulary on social platforms.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain an eye for core brand rules, ensuring even our highest-volume performance tests subtly protect ZOEâs foundational visual DNA.

Iâm in my final year doing Economics and I donât know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer â it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donât need a masters. Letâs look at the ones youâd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet â that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

đ§ What Youâll Bring
- 2â5 Years of Commercial Design Experience: You are a mid-level designer with a track record in growth marketing, paid social, digital advertising, CRM, promo assets, or brand design (DTC, subscription, or startup experience is a major plus).
- Rock-Solid Visual Craft: A portfolio showcasing strong graphic design fundamentalsâflawless typography, intuitive layout balance, clear visual hierarchy, and strong contrast.
- Figma Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced mastery of Figma (components, auto-layout, variant matrices) as your primary daily workflow tool, alongside Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Baseline Ad Intuition & Platform Awareness: A deep, intuitive understanding of social feeds; you know what feels native and thumb-stopping versus what looks like a skimmable advertisement, and you understand direct-response conversion goals.
- Autonomy & Speed: Exceptional speed and organisational agility. You love taking direction, running with execution independently without needing hand-holding on design 101, and pivoting design directions based on data.
- Maker Mindset: Comfort using your smartphone or basic camera equipment to capture real-world textures, lighting, and product interactions that look current, authentic, and premium.
- Mission Alignment: Deep curiosity about human behaviour, health, nutrition, and science.
âď¸ This Role Isn't For You If...
- You sit at a Senior or Lead level (6+ years experience) looking to direct strategyâthis is a hands-on, execution-first mid-level role where you will be building variants in Figma every single day.
- You need micro-management or "Design 101" coaching on basic principles like typography hierarchy, color contrast, or simple layout design.
- You prefer slow, single-asset brand projects or long-form campaign building over rapid A/B variant testing and performance iteration.
- Figma isn't your primary tool for building scalable template systems and layout variants.
