We produce exciting content with some of the world’s biggest names, including Professor Brian Cox, Louis Theroux and Rob Irwin.
We’re looking for a proactive individual with experience in factual storytelling to join the team behind popular series Minutes With, Extraordinary Lives, Face to Face and Honesty Box. The ideal candidate will have a documentary, factual TV or journalism background, with a keen interest in storytelling and a proven ability to cast compelling contributors. We’d love to hear from you if you’re a confident director who’s worked with crews in and outside the studio and can conduct sensitive, compelling interviews that resonate. You’ll be leading the way on YouTube and socials by creating engaging digital-first content for our multi-million-strong youth audience.

The Role:
You will be responsible for the end-to-end production of LADbible Stories videos. From ideation to casting and then edit-producing videos that may reach millions of viewers. You’ll work closely with an editor to bring your vision to life. Your edits will live on YouTube as well as our social ecosystem: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok.
You will be an editorial voice on shoots, directing and interviewing contributors and talent, sometimes whilst discussing sensitive topics and stories.
Your role will work closely with other aspects of the Originals team, including the casting, production & development teams.
You’ll be a multitasker, working across multiple projects and series at one time.
Skills & Experience:
- A passion for casting and sourcing one-of-a-kind stories and contributors that resonate with a youth audience.
- Exceptional organisational skills, which allow you to keep track of multiple projects at once and stay on top of casting across various formats.
- Emotional intelligence, with the ability to conduct contributor interviews with sensitivity.
- An understanding of and interest in what is happening in the world, from keeping up with the latest documentary releases to what news story has everybody talking on TikTok.
- A critical thinker with a talent for in-depth research, fact-checking, and compiling briefing documents.
- An eye for bringing together an engaging edit and selecting clips for social media.
- A creative self-starter who is happy to pitch ideas.
