Creative Strategist
brand storytelling, concept development & creative direction with an agency that’s approaching online paid media creative differently
📍 Location – London/Hybrid (developing team chemistry in person is vital)
💰 Salary – DOE (looking for the right thinkers versus a number of years in-role)
We’re working with an immensely creative growth marketing agency built on the belief that paid media should be just as curated as every other channel – brands should show up as impressively on a feed as they do anywhere else. This role owns the creative strategy that stops thumbs, tells a story, and builds long-term brand success, not just quick-fire sales.
Gone are the days of a bland product shot with price copy! This agency understands the necessity of killer creative strategy – not a slide of “key messages” bolted onto a media plan after the fact. It’s a true art, currently lost to formulas, frameworks, and the endless churn of “what worked last time.”
The agency uses machine learning to deep dive into finding where a brand’s audience actually spends its time, then reads the headspace they’re in when they get there and builds ideas that deserve to be in it. That’s marketing as invitation rather than interruption, and it’s how long-term results and brand recognition follow.
Your job is to take that audience understanding and build the ideas people actually want to see. In practice, that means creative strategy across paid social and paid search, content, creator and ambassador programmes, and the emerging edge of social commerce – TikTok Shop included.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We’re looking for a creative strategist who combines storytelling and culture-watching in equal measure – someone who’ll fight for the idea as hard as the media team fights for quality effectiveness.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
🎯 Experience & Background
- Some prior experience as a creative or brand strategist, including taking a concept from first idea through to a live campaign launch
- Solid grip on how to turn audience and platform insight into a creative idea, not just a media plan
- Comfortable briefing and collaborating with creative, content and media teams without losing sight of the bigger picture (the brand mission)
- The ability to bring your strategy to life and sell it into clients effectively and passionately – not just what looks good, but why it works
- A passion for lifestyle and fashion sectors
💡 Mindset & Approach
- A critical thinker who’ll question “best practice” rather than default to it
- A natural storyteller and collaborator – with clients, creators and the media team alike
- Genuinely curious about culture and platforms, not just campaign frameworks
- A point of view on why “strategy” can be portrayed as dull – and ideas for what to do instead
- Hands-on experience shaping ideas for social and digital commerce (including TikTok Shop, creator/ambassador programmes and AI-driven creative tools)
- A track record of choosing story over spreadsheet at least once, and getting campaign results to prove it

Fancy It?
This isn’t the type of role where you find yourself filling in a brand pyramid template. If you want to dig deep into an audience’s state of mind to deliver them an idea worth their attention, and measure long term brand affinity, we want to speak to you. Bring the creative instincts, the storytelling chops and the desire to question the status quo. We want to hear from you!
