Hiring for a Client's DTC Company

Running a portfolio of brands doing $6M+/year in combined revenue, across skincare and maternity. Meta is our growth engine, and creative is what feeds it.

We’re hiring a Creative Strategist to own that engine with us. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role working directly with the founder. We move fast, we document everything, and we let the data decide.

Who This Is For

You take ownership and run the engine. You own creative end to end — research, concepts, briefs, production, analysis, iteration — and you act without waiting to be told.

  • You think outside the box — and decide with data.
  • Bold angles and hooks nobody else in the niche is testing, but every decision grounded in customer insights, performance data, and past test learnings.
  • You have 3+ years in direct response.
  • You’ve been judged on CPA and ROAS, and you know the difference between an ad that gets compliments and an ad that gets scaled.

What You’ll Do

  • Own creative research. Mine customer reviews, post-purchase surveys, support tickets, and online communities to find the language, pains, and objections our buyers actually use. Map angles to customer awareness levels and avatars — and keep that research living, not filed away.
  • Write briefs that earn their budget. Every brief you produce is backed by real research performance data, customer insights, and documented learnings from previous creatives. No brief goes to production on a hunch. You’ll cite the review, the survey stat, or the past test that justifies the concept.
  • Run the creative pipeline. Concept and script UGC, VSL, and static ads. Brief editors and creators with precision — hooks, delivery notes, visual direction. Ensure what ships matches what was briefed.
  • Analyze, log, iterate. Own weekly creative performance analysis: hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA, ROAS. Diagnose why ads win or lose at the specific-second level. Maintain the testing log so every dollar spent produces a learning, and turn winners into iteration trees instead of one-off luck.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You MUST Know/Have

  • Meta creative performance, cold. You can read hook rate, hold rate, and thumbstop data and translate it into your next brief — not just report it.
  • Direct-response fundamentals. Awareness and sophistication levels, angles vs. hooks vs. formats, why pain outperforms curiosity, and how to open a loop that keeps someone watching.
  • UGC and editor workflows. How to brief a creator so the delivery sounds human, and how to brief an editor so the first cut is 90% there.
  • Research-driven concepts. You have a repeatable process for going from raw customer data to a ranked list of testable angles.

How to Apply

Send us:

  • One angle you’d test for a DTC skincare brand targeting acne scarring — and the evidence you’d want before writing the brief.
