About Letterfest

Letterfest is a personalised gifting brand operating across the UK, US and Australia. We make custom illustrations, personalised story books, and engraved keepsakes that people give to their loved ones. We have grown from a small studio in Devon into an eight-figure business, and creative sits right at the centre of that growth.

We are looking for a creative strategist who can generate a constant stream of new creative ideas and angles across our product range, spot where to double down and where to move on, and understand exactly what is driving performance behind every ad. This is a hands-on role in a small, fast-paced team, in the run-up to our biggest trading peak of the year. You’ll ship briefs and deliver ads in days, not months, analyse exactly how they perform, and iterate again and again.

The role

You will work alongside our Acquisition Lead as the bridge between the numbers and the making. Together you will pull apart what's working in our paid creative and what isn't, then turn that insight into briefs sharp enough for our creative team (designers, video editors, and UGC creators) to execute at a high standard and speed. You own the pipeline that keeps new creative flowing through Q4, and you'll be defining the messaging frameworks and creative workflows as you go.

The US is our biggest market. Most of our revenue comes from American customers, and so we need someone whose instincts are already calibrated there. That means knowing which occasions US audiences buy gifts for, how they talk about them, what their tastes are, how to spark their interest, what objection-handling angles to employ, and which micro-influencers/UGC creators are worth working with.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll work on

  • Generating new creative concepts across our product range, and turning performance data into clear, actionable insight on how to best iterate and scale winning ads.
  • Writing sharp, insight-led copy and briefs for our creative team, then feeding back and signing off on final assets.
  • Sourcing and briefing US-based UGC creators — concepts, scripts, and shot lists built to maximise what we can pull from each shoot, working with our video editor to cut every delivery into as many usable assets as possible.
  • Building and owning the Q4 creative pipeline against our trading calendar, so nobody is ever sitting waiting for assets during peak, and ensuring we maintain enough volume and variety in flight on our highest-spend campaigns to beat ad fatigue.
  • Bringing the outside in: customer research, competitor creative, US category shifts, what is working for other DTC brands before it is obvious.

What we're looking for

  • Experience managing performance creative in a DTC or e-commerce business — you have strong visual taste paired with the ability to articulate why something worked and how you iterated from there. Not just a showreel of ads.
  • Demonstrable US market experience. You know the nuances of American audiences and how to properly regionalise creative for them, not just Americanise the spelling on UK assets. You will be writing UGC scripts, voiceover, and short-form copy directly, and messaging that doesn’t resonate with this audience costs sales.
  • Deep fluency in Meta as a creative platform, and comfortable living in the performance data yourself rather than waiting to be told what it means.
  • You've sourced and briefed UGC creators, and know the difference between content that's lovely and content that sells.
  • Self-sufficient, fast, and able to give clear creative feedback. Three days a week through Q4 means hitting the ground running with minimal oversight, and a vague brief/feedback could cost a week in creative development.
  • Genuinely interested in AI tools for concepting, iteration and analysis — you know the systems reshaping creative work, their limits and move fast because of them, not despite them.

  • Experience in adapting winning concepts across channels. E.g. YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest.

The details

  • Three days per week, September to December, with potential to extend.
  • Two of those days in our Farringdon office, Mondays and Wednesdays; the third is yours to work wherever.
  • Reporting to our Acquisition Lead.
  • Scope to flex your days up during peak trading.
  • Day rate: £300 - £400.

How to apply

Email aimee@letterfest.com with your CV and two or three examples of paid creative you briefed for a US audience — a line on the thinking behind each and how it performed. We are interested in your results, not just your work quality.
