Creative Technical Operator
Christy Media Solutions is recruiting a Creative Technical Operator on a contract basis to join our client's Creative team, supporting the technical delivery of promotional content across a portfolio of broadcast channels and key markets.
This role will suit an experienced Technical Operator with a strong understanding of broadcast media workflows, technical QC and file-based content delivery. Working closely with Creative Project Managers and wider production teams, you'll play an important role in ensuring promotional assets are managed, quality-checked and delivered to the required technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing media assets, including master file delivery for promotional content.
- Create and deliver broadcast files for transmission, social and off-air platforms.
- Work with Project Managers to ensure assets are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Use encoding and quality control technologies, including Content Agent and Vidchecker, to maintain technical standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues involving Adobe Premiere Pro, Pro Tools audio suites and Creative workstations.
- Collaborate on shoot workflows and support external audio, grading and online sessions where required.
- Ensure output meets local broadcast regulations, including Ofcom requirements.
- Support Key Art workflows and uploads for international markets.
- Contribute to new equipment implementation, workflow improvements and technical documentation.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Technical Operator within a broadcast or facility environment.
- Professional experience with Avid and Adobe technologies, including Avid ISIS, Interplay, Central, Media Composer/Symphony and Adobe Premiere.
- Working knowledge of encoding tools such as Content Agent and QC software such as Vidchecker.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end file-based workflows, file formats, codecs, wrappers and file profiles.
- Basic editing experience, including sequence amendments and adding clocks.
- Previous experience working in a multi-channel environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and an interest in emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively with different departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, remain calm under pressure and maintain high levels of accuracy.
- A background in technical QC would be particularly advantageous.
