At Albert Bartlett, we're passionate about creating delicious, high-quality potato products that consumers love. As we continue to expand our Added Value and Prepared Foods portfolio, we're looking for a creative and commercially driven Creative Technologist to join our Kitchen Development team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines culinary creativity with food manufacturing knowledge and enjoys turning concepts into successful products that make it to supermarket shelves.
The Role
Working closely with NPD, Technical, Marketing, Operations and Commercial teams, you will play a key role in developing innovative potato-based products and meal solutions from concept through to launch.
You will be responsible for creating and refining recipes, sourcing ingredients, conducting kitchen trials, and supporting factory launches while ensuring products meet consumer expectations, commercial targets and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative new product concepts aligned with consumer and market trends
- Create, trial and refine recipes within the development kitchen
- Conduct benchmark tastings and competitor reviews
- Support product presentations, customer showcases and tasting sessions
- Work collaboratively with NPD Managers, Development Chefs and cross-functional teams
- Ensure products can be successfully scaled from kitchen trial to factory production
- Support factory trials and first production runs
- Monitor food trends, ingredients and emerging technologies
- Maintain accurate development records, recipe specifications and trial documentation
- Assist with continuous improvement and reformulation projects across existing product ranges

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within food manufacturing, NPD or product development
- Strong culinary skills with a genuine passion for food innovation
- Experience developing products from concept to launch
- Good understanding of ingredients, processing techniques and food trends
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial and operational requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Food Science, Food Technology, Culinary Arts or related qualification preferred
