About GoPlaces
At GoPlaces, we're revolutionising social commerce by helping brands thrive in the era of socially enabled shopping. We provide an end-to-end solution to brands, managing everything from logistics and demand forecasting to affiliate management and live shopping experiences.
Working across beauty, FMCG, and consumer technology, we partner with a diverse portfolio of leading brands to drive growth through innovative commerce strategies. As we continue to scale rapidly, we're investing in exceptional people who are excited to grow with us and help shape the future of social commerce.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Creator Strategy Lead to own creator strategy across a portfolio of brands. You'll set the direction, manage a small team of Creator Strategists, and act as the go-to creator expert for your brand partners. You'll work closely with our Head of Creators to help shape creator strategy across the wider team.
You don't need to come in knowing TikTok Shop creators inside out. We're just as interested in strong performance marketing or paid social operators from agency or D2C brand backgrounds. What matters is that you've run complex, multi-workstream projects, that clients have trusted you as their senior point of contact, and that you've got sharp commercial judgement. We'll teach you the platform.
Core responsibilities
- Own creator strategy across your portfolio of brands: set the direction, priorities, and roadmap, grounded in category insight, performance data, and platform trends.
- Partner closely with the Head of Creators to develop and test strategy, bringing brand-level context and helping shape best practice across the wider team.
- Act as the day-to-day expert on creator matters for your brand partners: lead the conversation, hold the strategic narrative, and give brands confidence they're in safe hands.
- Manage and develop 1-2 Creator Strategists: review their content plans and reporting, coach them through judgement calls, and bring them up to speed on TikTok Shop and creator marketing.
- Own creator investment recommendations: decide where budget and creator spend should go, and why.
- Brief senior account stakeholders on strategy, performance, and risk, translating creator-specific nuance into terms that plug straight into the wider account plan.
- Run multiple brand programmes in parallel, keeping each on track and on budget, with clear visibility for stakeholders and brand partners.
- Spot patterns across the wider book of business: turn what's working (or not) on one brand into playbooks, best practice, and training for the rest of the pod.
- Flag at-risk accounts early and take the lead on resolving them before they need senior intervention.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who you are:
- 4-7 years' experience in performance marketing, paid social, or creator marketing, ideally at Senior Manager or Lead level.
- Either an agency background: something like a Senior Paid Social Manager or Associate Director at a performance or media agency, OR D2C brand background: something like a Senior Performance Marketing Manager or Paid Social Lead at a fast-growing, funded challenger brand.
- Existing TikTok Shop or creator marketing experience is a strong plus, but not essential. We'll teach you the platform if you bring the judgement and client-facing experience.
- Some experience managing, mentoring, or reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Strong client-facing track record: comfortable as the trusted senior contact on an account, including the harder conversations.
- A genuine strategic thinker, comfortable moving from “here's what happened” to “here's what we should do, and why.”
- Sharp with data, but oriented towards judgement and prioritisation rather than just producing the report.
- Comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders across the business, including non-specialists who need creator matters translated clearly.
