Job Vacancy: Crèche Assistant

Position: Crèche Assistant

Location: Foxhills Club & Resort, Ottershaw, Surrey

Type: Casual, weekend hours

Responsibilities

  • To provide the highest quality of care, wellbeing, and education for all children in the crèche, in line with Ofsted regulations.
  • Assist in managing the records and childcare details for all bookings.
  • Contributing to maintaining a safe and secure environment from arrival to departure of the children.
  • Supervising a variety of suitable and engaging activities for children in the crèche according to their ages and abilities.
  • Following first aid, security, and health and safety procedures, as instructed by the Crèche Supervisor.
  • Maintaining and cleaning of all equipment and maintaining excellent hygiene standards.
  • Undertaking and assisting with basic hygiene, nappy changing, and toilet training.
  • Maintaining complete confidentiality of any information regarding children, families, volunteers, or staff.
  • Liaise with parents/carers in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.
  • Ensuring a customer-focused service is delivered, upholding and demonstrating the Foxhills Collection Values at all times.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years.
  • Current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
  • Experience of working in a crèche/childcare setting in a leadership role or similar.
  • Experience of working with/caring for young children.
  • Knowledge of child development and appropriate play activities for young children.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to supporting parents in meeting the needs of their children.
  • Competent in using the computer and Office computer packages.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to partake in training sessions or courses.
  • Satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
