Credit Analyst – Energy & Renewables, Institutional Banking Group
We are looking for an experienced Credit Analyst to join the Energy & Renewables team at DBS London on a fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-performing and dynamic team at a top tier bank, supporting the growth of our European Energy & Renewables client portfolio and wider franchise development across Asia.
The successful candidate must have proven experience supporting clients within the Energy & Renewables sector with a strong background in credit analysis and excellent interpersonal skills. A key requirement of the role is the ability to independently prepare high-quality credit applications, annual reviews, and detailed credit reports for submission to our Credit Risk team.
Key Accountabilities
- Leverage existing knowledge and experience of the Energy & Renewables sector to support relationship management activities, identify opportunities, and provide sector-specific insights to clients and internal stakeholders. Strong focus on identifying additional earning opportunities through a thorough knowledge of the client, the sector, and the Bank’s product capabilities.
- To provide strategic and marketing support to Relationship Managers.
- Contributing to ensuring the annual team income budget is met or surpassed.
- Ensuring the satisfactory credit profile of the portfolio, through production of concise credit analysis in a timely manner for review by the credit risk team and ongoing risk monitoring. Includes proficiency with reviewing financial information, producing analysis, and having the capability to produce financial forecast modeling.
- To be aware of structural risk and documentary issues and be able to execute, monitor, and respond to such issues over the lifetime of facilities.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and bank internal policies and procedures, including Know-Your-Customer (KYC) requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Credit & Risk Management:
- Structure accurate, concise, and comprehensive credit applications and annual credit reviews, assessing a company’s financial performance, business strengths and weaknesses, and sector dynamics.
- Conduct ongoing portfolio monitoring including financial analysis, covenant compliance reviews, stress testing, and risk assessment.
- Produce high-quality credit analysis and financial forecasting to support credit decision-making and portfolio management.
- Maintain a strong understanding of DBS credit policies, procedures, and risk parameters, ensuring all activities are completed in line with internal requirements.
- Review and support the execution of lending facilities including legal documentation, amendments, waivers, and ongoing facility management.

Relationship Management:
- Manage relationships with existing clients, ensuring maximum returns are achieved within approved credit parameters. The role will involve periodic travel to Europe and Asia.
- Provide relationship manager client support and business development activity, as well as client administration and documentation.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues across London, Singapore, and the wider DBS network.
- Provide timely response and resolution to client and internal stakeholder queries.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and KYC obligations.
