About The Role

The company is seeking a dedicated Credit Analyst to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in processing credit applications efficiently and accurately. The primary responsibility involves assessing creditworthiness to support the company's growth while maintaining financial stability. The role also includes managing credit insurance policies, providing insightful feedback to the sales team, and identifying commercial opportunities within credit decisions. This position offers a chance to develop your expertise in credit analysis, financial assessment, and risk management within a supportive and professional environment. Training will be provided to ensure the candidate is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of financial statements and credit assessment processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with credit agency systems such as Experian is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assess credit applications to determine creditworthiness and risk levels.
  • Provide feedback and performance reports to the sales team regarding credit decisions.
  • Ensure the company maintains appropriate credit insurance coverage to mitigate financial risks.
  • Recognize potential commercial opportunities within credit assessments and escalate them accordingly.
  • Generate and analyze reports as required to support decision-making processes.
  • Prepare monthly KPI summaries to monitor credit activities and performance.
  • Perform ad hoc duties related to credit management and financial analysis as assigned.
