Credit Analyst Opportunity
Our prestigious banking client is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their London-based International team, providing credit analysis of a high standard of various proposals submitted to the department (across segments including Corporate, Commercial Real Estate, and Financial Institutions).
Your Role
- Analysis and vetting of the credit applications (supported by detailed financial analysis) with appropriate recommendations to the Head for decisions.
- Financial Institutions Global Credit Limits - Preparation and maintenance of report/data on Approved Global FI Limits. Monitoring and follow-up on Bank credit reviews. Provision of research reports for processing credit submissions to the Credit Committee, and Maintenance of an up-to-date database of Bank ratings.
- Global Country Limits - Preparation and maintenance of report/data on approval of Global Country Limits and follow-up on Country credit reviews on an annual basis. Monitoring our standings against such limits based on monthly reports from the Control units. Maintenance of up-to-date data on country ratings.
- Preparation of portfolio MIS reports / Credit data – Compilation and presentation of information provided through monthly packages from various units for the purpose above. Monitoring and analyzing data, seeking clarification on variances, and following up.
- Watchlist Accounts Analysis of the data and compilation of the reports from various units, ensuring that necessary credit approvals are in place and the account strategies exist/are actively reviewed with progress/developments notified to the Head.
- Oversight/Checking the works of the Secretary of International Credit.
- Various other reports/data requirements for the department.
- Any other support function relevant to the departmental functions as required by the Head.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
- Graduation in a financial discipline.
Experience
- Five years’ experience in a similar capacity with a financial institution.
- IT literate with good typing speed, have excellent MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills. Microsoft-savvy - must be able to make updates in documents, spreadsheets, and presentations (e.g., DocuSign).
Competencies The job holder requires:
- Ability to adapt to working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Highly efficient, team player, with good attention to detail, accuracy, and an eye for market research and following industry trends pertaining to the bank’s portfolio.
- High standard performer that enjoys working in a dynamic and small team.
- Ability to work unsupervised, to tight deadlines, and to withstand occasionally high pressure demands. Willingness to work beyond normal working hours when necessary to support the team.
- Accuracy and a high level of numeracy in relation to financial analysis. Highly skilled at spreadsheets; ideally with some financial modelling experience.

Skills The job holder requires:
- High level of credit analytical skills and experience.
- Advanced financial analytical skills.
- Highly numerate candidate.
- Skilled in computer applications (Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel as a minimum).
- Good working knowledge of banking and securities market products.
- Ability to examine and evaluate cross-border risk.
- Good awareness of market developments (including financial markets, industry sectors, macro political and economic issues).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A self-starter and keen team player.
Hybrid - 4 days in office, 1 from home.
