Credit Analyst (Mortgage Broking)
Overview
Join an established Australian mortgage broking practice as their Credit Analyst, working fully remote while playing a key role in structuring and placing loans across a diverse panel of lenders.
Role Summary
This role owns credit analysis and serviceability assessments across the full loan lifecycle, from initial scenario research through to submission and settlement. You will calculate serviceability across multiple lenders, research credit policy to identify the best fit for each client scenario, and liaise directly with BDMs on policy positions and product suitability. The role extends into complex lending scenarios, including low doc, commercial, and non-bank lending for company and trust borrowers, working across a broad lender panel. You will prepare and submit applications, track files through to settlement, and keep sales trackers and client records accurate and current, working closely with the broker to keep every file moving.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
