Help strengthen confidence in credit risk management across a global organisation.

Join our Global Credit Assurance team and play a key role in providing independent assurance over credit risk frameworks, identifying emerging risks, and driving improvements that support informed decision-making and long-term resilience.

We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.

What role will you play?

As a Manager in the Global Credit Assurance team, you will contribute to assurance reviews across credit risk frameworks, assessing the effectiveness of controls and governance processes to help ensure risks are managed within appetite. Working closely with stakeholders across the business and Risk Management Group, you will analyse credit risk data, identify trends and potential vulnerabilities, and provide practical insights that strengthen risk management practices. Through your work, you will help enhance the design, measurement, evaluation and reporting of credit risk while supporting a strong and sustainable control environment. While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require three days a week in our advertised location.

What You Offer

  • 4-6 years proven experience in a credit risk discipline preferably credit assurance but will consider credit decisioning or risk advisory experience
  • Knowledge of retail, commercial or wholesale credit and an understanding of credit risk frameworks and controls
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Advanced stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret complex information, identify trends and apply sound judgement in ambiguous situations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
