Credit & Collections Manager
Watford, Hertfordshire
£60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits
Protecting Cash. Driving Performance. Holding Accountability.
At MSS Infrastructure Ltd, we are looking for an experienced Credit & Collections Manager to take ownership of one of the most critical functions in our business: converting revenue into cash and protecting the company's working capital position. The role is responsible for maximising cash collection, reducing debt exposure and ensuring the financial strength of the business through effective credit management and collection performance.
This is not simply a credit control management role. You will be the designated owner of the debtor ledger, accountable for collection performance across the business, and expected to drive a culture where debt recovery, cash forecasting and working capital management are treated as commercial priorities.
As a department head, you will be expected to operate at a senior level, providing clear visibility of debt, cash performance and collection risks to the leadership team. On occasion, you may be invited to attend Board meetings to explain performance, debt risks and recovery strategies, making this an opportunity suited to an experienced professional who is comfortable operating with executive-level accountability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
