Role Summary
To manage Credit Conduct & Control end-to-end - leading the conduct MI, governance, action management, oversight and issue resolution that give Credit assurance of good customer outcomes and regulatory compliance across flexpay, SkyGlass, Loans and FlexSave. The role holder leads the conduct and control picture: defining what good looks like in the MI, exercising independent judgement on where risk is growing, holding owners across the business to account for closing it, and bringing a clear, evidenced point of view to senior governance.
They own the day-to-day operation and integrity of the control framework, including control testing, escalating to the Senior Manager where matters require senior intervention. Working with the Senior Manager, they help shape key Credit, Services, ExCo and Board governance - including 1LoD committees, RCC and Consumer Duty Board reporting - and manage joint governance with our lending partner to ensure high-quality oversight of customer outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
