Job Description: Credit Control Advisor
Bupa Place (Salford Quays, M50 3SP)
Permanent
Full time 37.5 hours
Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
Salary from: £26,400 per annum

As a Credit Control Advisor, you'll be a key part of our Clinics Finance & Commercial team. You'll work closely with customers and colleagues to manage outstanding balances, resolve account queries and deliver a positive customer experience. You'll also play an important role in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the financial health of the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering excellent customer service while developing their career in finance operations.
How you’ll help us make health happen
As our Credit Control Advisor, you'll:
- Take ownership of assigned customer accounts and support the collection of outstanding payments.
- Build positive relationships with customers while helping them resolve account queries.
- Investigate overdue balances and agree suitable payment arrangements where required.
- Reconcile customer accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies quickly and accurately.
- Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and letter in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure customer interactions are accurately recorded within relevant systems.
- Support the delivery of individual and team performance targets.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues and improve customer outcomes.
- Handle customer complaints in line with Bupa's processes and escalate concerns where appropriate.
- Help maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement across the credit control function.

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role
- Previous experience in a credit control role is essential
- Experience working directly with customers and managing account queries.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of finance systems and processes.
- The ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance customer needs and business objectives.
