We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Credit Control and Billing Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for chasing client payments of invoices, supporting our credit controller, and responding to client queries. The ideal candidate should have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and an understanding of billing processes.

The role will join a dedicated and vibrant team, currently made up of 6 finance colleagues, working out of a mixture of our new Billericay office and home.

What will you do?

  • Chasing client for payment of invoices
  • Bank allocations
  • Invoice finance facility notifications and reconciliation
  • Raising monthly sales invoices, adhering to client requirements to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Responding to client queries
  • Support in Implementation and maintenance of the credit control system
  • Supporting Credit controller to keep close watch on debtor account balances and aging and proactively solving problems to keep aged and troublesome debt low
  • Building client relationships
  • Support the accounts payable control, purchase invoice processing and other adhoc processes as required
  • Support on Payroll team as required
  • Commission calculations for the internal office payroll

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in payroll/finance administration, timesheet management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Problem solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams
  • Experience using timesheet software in a recruitment business is a plus
