About The Role

We are looking for a Credit Control Team Leader to lead a small team and support the continued success of our Credit Control function. The team is responsible for all aspects of credit control across the UK sales channel and our international distribution network, playing a vital role in maintaining strong cash flow and customer relationships.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to the team, overseeing workloads, coaching and development, and ensuring the effective delivery of credit control activities. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will remain involved in credit collection and account management activities, helping to drive performance and resolve complex issues.

The role will also play a key part in the implementation of new systems and processes as the business progresses with the upgrade of its ERP platform, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to business-wide improvements and change initiatives.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

  • Previous experience in credit control, with a proven ability to manage customer accounts, collect outstanding payments, resolve account queries, and maintain strong customer relationships while minimising financial risk.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, with responsibility for developing people and driving high performance.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

The Following Skills And Experience Would Be Advantageous

  • An awareness of international markets, geopolitical developments, and external factors that may impact customers, supply chains, or business operations.
  • Experience using Oracle, Salesforce, or similar CRM and ERP systems.
  • Exposure to ERP implementations, system upgrades, or business process improvement projects.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities, customer needs, and business demands.
