Credit Controller (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum
Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established business based in Wythenshawe on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and driven individual who enjoys building relationships, reducing aged debt, and playing a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow across the business.
Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will take ownership of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received on time while delivering excellent customer service and resolving any outstanding queries efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts.
- Chasing overdue payments via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
- Reducing aged debt and improving cash collection performance.
- Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts.
- Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries.
- Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Producing aged debt reports and providing updates to management.
- Negotiating and monitoring payment arrangements where required.
- Escalating high-risk accounts and supporting debt recovery processes.
- Assisting with month-end reporting and other finance-related duties.

About You
- Previous experience within a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume ledger and meet collection targets.
- Experience of account reconciliations and cash allocations.
- Ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
- A positive, proactive, and professional approach.
