Job Description

Credit Controller

Full-time | Fixed Term | Head Office, Norwich

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-focused Credit Controller to join our established Finance Team at our Head Office in Norwich on a full-time, Fixed Term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large and supportive Finance Team within a diverse organisation, where you can build on your existing experience, develop your skills and gain valuable exposure to a complex business.

The Role

As a Credit Controller, you will play an important role in managing the Group’s credit control function, working collaboratively with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to ensure invoices are collected promptly and effectively.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing the collection of overdue invoices and working proactively with clients to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Working closely with the wider Finance Team to manage intercompany invoices and providing input into financial reporting where required.
  • Supporting the reduction of aged debt and debtor days in line with company targets.
  • Resolving credit control and collection issues effectively and escalating matters where appropriate.
  • Holding regular ledger reviews with Operational Teams and Finance Business Partners to identify and escalate problematic accounts.
  • Building positive working relationships with colleagues and clients to support effective credit management.

About You

We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role. You will be organised, proactive and confident communicating with a range of stakeholders.

You Will Also Have

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of small and large teams.
  • A positive and professional approach, with the confidence to follow up on outstanding accounts and resolve issues effectively.
