Our Commercial division provides a full range of services for fleet operators across LGVs, HGVs, LCVs and trailers. This includes fleet management, maintenance, funding, rental and flexible hire. Your Role

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our Commercial Finance team in Altrincham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our business by managing customer accounts, building strong relationships, and helping to drive financial performance.

You'll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team where your contribution truly matters—helping us deliver a seamless, customer-first experience across the business.

As a Credit Controller, You'll Take Ownership Of Your Own Portfolio Of Accounts, Ensuring a Proactive And Professional Approach To Credit Management. You Will

  • Build strong, positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage and reduce outstanding debt, ensuring timely collections
  • Resolve customer queries quickly and efficiently with a customer-first mindset
  • Monitor and manage credit limits in line with company policy
  • Accurately record customer communications and payment promises
  • Carry out bank reconciliations, cash posting, and allocation
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Credit Control Manager
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and team success

  • Strong Excel and IT skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • A keen eye for detail and high level of accuracy
  • Confident communication skills—both written and verbal
  • A resilient, proactive approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
  • Be able to build trusted relationships across teams, take ownership and pride in your work and thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
  • Experience in Credit control would be beneficial
