Department: Finance
Location: Wigan, WN3 5BA/Hybrid home working
Hours: 35 hours per week Full-time, Permanent
We have an opportunity for a proactive and organised Credit Controller to join our Finance team.
Your role
Working alongside Lee Catterall, Partner and Financial Controller and his Finance team, you will play a vital role in supporting financial legal services. Ensuring we follow good credit control procedures.
- Proactively chase overdue accounts by phone and email, maintaining accurate records
- Issue appropriate collection letters
- Liaise with solicitors and other colleagues and dealing with problem accounts
- Analyse and present monthly reports
- Support with audits

Essential
- GCSE maths and English at minimum grade C/4 (or equivalent experience)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferable accounting/finance
- Confident and proactive communication skills by phone and email, with experience managing difficult calls.
- Strong numerical accuracy
Desirable
- Bookkeeping, accounting qualifications or training
- Sales ledger and credit control experience
- Understanding of law firm accounting and client money
