Credit Controller

Chesterfield | Temporary Assignment | Flexible Working

We’re working in partnership with a well-established IT services business based in Chesterfield to recruit a Credit Controller on a temporary basis, with the possibility of an extension. The role offers flexible working, including the ability to work from home, and hours can be either full or part time.

The successful candidate will take ownership of customer accounts, proactively managing outstanding balances and working with customers to bring accounts back up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and outstanding debt
  • Contact customers by telephone and email regarding overdue invoices
  • Resolve account queries and payment issues
  • Agree payment arrangements where appropriate
  • Allocate and reconcile payments
  • Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and collection activity
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve billing issues

About You

We’re looking for someone with previous credit control or accounts receivable experience, who is confident communicating with customers and comfortable having difficult conversations when required.

You’ll be organised, persistent and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload.
