Credit Controller - Energy & Natural Resources

As a Credit Controller in the energy and natural resources sector, based in Runcorn, you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments. Your efforts will help maintain the company's cash flow and financial stability.

A company based in Runcorn operating within the energy and natural resources sector.

Description

  • Manage customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving outstanding balances.
  • Monitor and report on aged debt, identifying and addressing overdue accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and update customer account details regularly.
  • Communicate with customers to address payment queries and negotiate payment terms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Prepare regular reports on credit control activities for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Support the Accounting & Finance team with other related tasks as required.

Profile

A successful Credit Controller should have:

  • Strong understanding of credit control processes and financial principles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in the energy and natural resources industry is desirable but not essential.
